It's Still Cold, Layers!

@DAPPERPROFESSIONAL

It's officially spring in the Midwest, so why did it snow yesterday? Layering is the name of the game here and sweaters are a critical component.

Playing off of last weekend's casual look, I went with the 'air tie' look this weekend (instead of wearing a tie). The air tie has been super popular recently. Especially with a shawl collar sweater, an unbuttoned top button can sometimes look a little messy.

So...what do you do when you don't want to wear a tie, but you want to look sharp? Button the top button! It's a more subtle detail with a high collar sweater. Especially if it's a quarter zip sweater. The buttoned top button will certainly stand out more with a cardigan, blazer or even just a shirt (which is definitely still acceptable).

Pair it with a blazer and you're almost ready to go! This is a cotton blazer that is awesome for versatility (and the peak lapels are awesssssomeeee). The cotton and its lightweight nature make it easier to layer without getting too hot.

Details, details, details - yes, even for casual outfits! A pocket square, Stan Smith Adidas shoes and killer socks from Unsimply Stitched. Now you're ready to go!
