Dappered Down - Written By: @TLEFFOC

I enjoy wearing a matching two or three piece suit just as much as the most dapper gentlemen. However, some evenings or events allow for a more toned down, less business look. Que in what I call Dappered Down.

I’m not sure if “black tie optional,” is fading away or it’s just people like me who are finding ways to be more creative with their looks to showcase their personal style. Dappered Down is where professional and casual meet; it’s a versatile look that can be worn anywhere such as a wedding or a night out on the town.

Here’s my version of Dappered Down:

A blazer and jeans always pair well together, especially a navy blazer that compliments so many colors of pants and jeans. Here, I’m wearing a fitted structured blazer with ribbed textured which brings it more over to the casual side. I went with a pair of skinny jeans to keep a slim silhouette. I also chose a blue color jean to keep the look monochromatic (a phase I’m going through right now).

I rolled my jeans up to add subtle detail and bring the eye all the way to my shoes. Double monk shoes are very versatile and dresses this look up a bit more.

I wanted to take my outfit up a notch with some clever but sophisticated dapper accessories. All of these are courtesy of Sprezza Box which would be worth checking out. The tie, tie clip, pocketsquare, and lapel pin seemed like too many accessories when I first thought of this outfit. I’m a firm believer that less is more. However, I went with all of the accessries to help bring in some dapper elements to create my Dappered Downoutfit.
